“And A Cartridge From Your PC”

So we’re still working through that Holiday time of year … again. Funny how that works- Right into the New Year and I’m here in Florida staring at Holiday decorations, tinsel, lights, and … palm trees. Go figure. Sunny and warm or not, its still the season for giving. And now, January rolls in with more new decisions to be made.

What gifts did you get? What gifts will you return? One thing that’s sure to please everyone is music. No matter the time of year. And with the portable mania that’s going on, you can pop a little cartridge or card into an mp3 player and off you go. Buy it, download it, upload it, and listen. How cool is that?

Just custom load your own music box and take it with you anywhere you go. No excuse for not having a little Smooth Jazz in your day. If the local radio stations won’t give you what you want, make it yourself. After all … it’s becoming a “help yourself” world.

So I say go ahead … “help yourself”. Now say it with the emphasis on help, instead of “yourself”. A whole different meaning isn’t it? Now choose what would help you be yourself. Maybe a 3-day vacation, or a new TV, new car, or maybe just a little R&R with you, yourself, and (insert your name here).

Take that “Cartridge From Your PC”. It’s filled with Smooth Jazz mp3 files that you’ve custom loaded. Time now to clear you head of all the clutter.

You see, everything represented in your life gets shoved into a small plastic bag around you. Now instead of making all the things in your life smaller so they can all fit in the bag, get rid of the useless stuff and full-size the important stuff. It should be a much better fit.

Now press play and picture those palm trees I was talking about. Listen for the gentle surf and feel the ocean breeze across your face. Now smile and go to the next track. Hoist the sails, tap the compass, and coast to a secluded island. Next track … see the moon and stars in all their glory as you drift across the night clouds into total tranquility and peaceful harmony. There’s a gentle cleansing taking place right between your ears.

How can you do all of this and never leave your house? Music. Plain and simple. Take some time out of your day … every day … and Smooth out the rough edges. Technology has given you the ability to have music be a part of everything you do. Surgeons do it. So can you.

If you’re not up on mp3 flexibility yet, then grab your CDs and pick some favorites. Who knows, maybe next year the Holidays will feel completely different. Good times, good cheer, family and friends will all seem more colorful and filled with multiple dimension if you just take more time to … “help yourself”.

Help Yourself to a daily dose of Smooth Jazz, and you’ll feel better about everything you do. Doctors orders.

Have a very Happy New Year filled with good health, and promise for the future!

JT
